About Elena
A philologist's ear, a teacher's patience.
For twenty-five years, Elena Anoshina has taught Russian to people who arrived with nothing but curiosity — and left able to think, joke and argue in a new language.
Trained as a philologist, she treats Russian not as a set of rules to survive but as a living thing to inhabit: its music, its logic, its warmth. Her lessons are unhurried and exact, adapted to each learner's language and pace.

Do I need any Russian to start?
Not at all. Many students begin at the very beginning — the alphabet and the sounds — and that's a wonderful place to start.
